As we prepare for this mission trip, the Lord continues to remind us that He is in it with us. We have been so blessed as He moves on our behalf in big and small ways during this time of preparation. The Lord placed it on our hearts that the clothing we wear while in Uganda will be left with the Pastors. So, we visited a store in downtown Albany to gather luggage and clothing for our trip. When we entered the store we were greeted by a young man, and then my eyes were immediately drawn to a display at their counter. They were selling necklaces and bracelets from Uganda!
I mentioned to the young man that we were on our way to Uganda on a mission trip. The manager of the store came forward, and the young man told him about our trip. He approached me and opened his store to us – "What do you need? Whatever you need for your trip you can have!"
We were overwhelmed by their generosity! They supplied all of our luggage and my clothing and shoes!!! We were so encouraged by the Lord – this was His doing!! We marvel at how Jesus supplies all of our needs - no matter how big or small – for there is nothing too hard for Him to do. I believe He is showing us before we even get on the plane that He is very much a part of this trip. And this is just the beginning of the great and marvelous things He is going to do in and through us while we minister to the people of Uganda in His name.
”Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.” Psalm 66:5
My heart is warmed and tears well up as I read this marvelous testimony of how present God is in our lives and how attentive He is to direct every one of our steps! "Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart!" (ps 119:2) Keep sharing! Love you all! - Leslie
