The Lord has put it in our hearts to bring luggage filled with little blessings for the children in Uganda. We will be visiting schools, hospitals and orphanages while we are there and hope to fill 4 luggage bags with candy, light weight toys, clothing, balls etc. for the children we visit. We are calling it "Fill the Luggage'!! I wish we could take more than 4 bags but the fees for extra baggage on the plane really makes it impractical (1st checked bag is free, 2nd bag is $55, additional bags $200). There is a 50 lb limit on each checked bag so we will have to watch the weight carefully. What a blessing it will be to give to these children in the name of Jesus.
We will place the luggage out in the courtyard at Calvary Chapel Corvallis for 3 Sundays (August 21, 28 and September 4). Of course this is a drop in the bucket when compared to the great needs over there, but we hope it will open the hearts of people to receive the greatest gift of all - Jesus!! Please pray that the luggage will overflow with the love of Jesus!! No weight limit on His amazing love for us...
